DR. VINCENT CHILDRESS
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, PROGRAM OF TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION

Dr. Childress serves as the Principal Investigator for the NCETE NC A&T State University site. In addition to his duties as graduate coordinator for technology teacher education, he conducted a quasi-experiment to determine the effects of science, mathematics, technology curriculum integration on the problem-solving ability of technology education students. He was also the research assistant, and later, the research associate for the NSF funded Technology, Science, Mathematics Integration Project at Virginia Tech. Dr. Childress was lead writer for Teaching Technology: High School, a document developed by the NSF/NASA funded Technology for All Americans Project and published by the International Technology Education Association. Dr. Childress has managed several projects on campus as both PI and Co-PI. Dr. Childress is known within the region and around the country as a technology teacher educator and can interface well with teachers, state supervisors, curriculum specialists, engineers, researchers, graduate students, teacher educators, and engineering, science, and mathematics professors.
