The mission of NCETE is to build capacity in technology education and the cornerstone of NCETE's capacity-building effort is the Fellowship Program. NCETE Fellows were selected from a pool of applicants based on their demonstrated interest in engineering and technology education and their potential to conduct research in emerging areas in engineering and technology education. NCETE Fellows have a research assistantship and full tuition paid for 3 years of graduate study. Over the past five years, NCETE has graduated nine doctoral fellows and presently has nine students enrolled in doctoral programs at three different institutions.
