Deborah Spear Williams graduated from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.  She worked for approximately five years as an engineer for Panasonic in the Automotive Entertainment Group.  While working as an engineer, she developed a desire to pursue the field of engineering and technology education.  She taught technology education for three years at Paul D. West Middle School, followed by one year of robotics and pre-engineering at Booker T. Washington High School.  She began an MS in technology education at the University of Georgia in 2006.  One of her many goals is to prepare future technology teachers to teach engineering technology education.  She is pursuing her PhD at the University of Georgia.
